The Environmental Service Group (ESG)
Remedial Services

ESG Field Services are here to assist YOU...
- A manufacturing company needed to clean-out two four thousand
(4,000) gallon reactor tanks that contained resin. The Environmental
Service Group (NY), Inc. was able to perform the cleaning while
maintaining the integrity of the system by keeping the tank temperature
at a constant one hundred and fifty (150) degrees Farenheit!
- The Environmental Service Group (NY), Inc. has removed
underground storage tanks for industries and federal government agencies
across New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio. We have extensive experience in
the removal of all types of tanks including Petroleum Products and
Chemical Storage Tanks. Our Turn-Key service extends to include
site restoration, ground water remediation, contaminated soil excavation
and bio-remediation, recovery and monitoring well installation.
- The demolition of a major steel mill was halted upon a worker's
discovery of forty-five (45) tons of lead contaminated dust in two
baghouses. Further investigation by The Environmental Service Group
(NY), Inc. revealed additional contamination in several hundred
feet of duct work. Utilizing hand tools and a vacuum truck, ESG's quick
response allowed demolition to continue on schedule.
- The Environmental Service Group (NY), Inc. responded to
a client who had a PCB Transformer explode near one of their manufacturing
plants. ESG personnel decontaminated the transformer switch room, reducing
the PCB level to attain acceptable limits. The Clean-up saved the client
the time and expense of complete demolition and disposal of the
contaminated debris.
- The Environmental Service Group (NY), Inc. has experience
in PCB transformer decomission, flushing, retrofilling and disposal.
Our Turn-key service is advailable to solve any PCB abatement
problems.
- A manufacturing firm needed to clean-out an area filled with
chemicals whose shelf life had expired, were unusable virgin reagent,
or were by-products from past pilot tests. The Environmental Service
Group (NY), Inc. responded by segregating the 2,500+ containers, and
where possible consolidated compatable chemicals to significantly reduce
disposal costs. The remaining chemicals which ranged in size from one
ounce to five gallons, were packaged and disposed of as a
Lab Pack in accordance with all state, federal and facility spacific
guidelines.
- A research facility had compiled various items over a number of
years including compressed gas cylinders, aerosol cans, organic peroxides,
PCB wastes, and a variety of reactive chemicals. After segregating and
inventorying the materials, The Environmental Service Group (NY),
Inc. chemists arranged for the ultimate disposal of the wastes
utilizing serveral different technologies including incineration,
recovery, treatment, hydrolization, on-site deactivation and controlled
on-site detonation.
- A manufacturing plant was in need of a major clean out of drums
that were loacated throughout the facility. Since the drums had accumulated
in various process areas that underwent changes over the years, many were
considered "UNKNOWNS". The Environmental Service Group (NY), Inc.
chemists performed all necessary field screening, sampling and analysis to assure
compliant transportation and disposal.
- A Generator had a minor spill of a material which was properly
contained and cleaned up by their trained staff members. The client then called
The Environmental Service Group (NY), Inc. to gain a "RUSH" approval
of the one time waste stream. The approval was received in time to remove
the drums with the next regularly scheduled shipment of waste.
- A client of The Environmental Service Group (NY), Inc.
requested a disposal price "on a per drum basis" for a solid, Non-Hazardous
Industrial waste. ESG's sales personnel provided the company with a drum price
as well as a unit price per ton and labor rates for On-Site Consolidation.
After reviewing the quote the generator was more than happy to have ESG's OSHA
trained personnel consolidate the waste to reduce disposal costs.
- The Environmental Service Group (NY), Inc. has applied the same
concept of consolidating or bulking compatible waste streams, to liquid materials, thereby
reducing transportation and disposal costs. Although the idea may be simplistic, there are many
factors to take into consideration. The Environmental Service Group (NY), Inc.'s
approval chemists and professional staff would be happy to address these factors with
you on any specific waste.
